Our Photo of the Day: Ayla Liberato

"It was a slow, lengthy afternoon. Around 5pm, I think. It wasn't even twilight, yet it was getting dark already. The murky clouds above the horizon and the cold whisper in my ears, tell me to sit, just sit.

Without delay, I grabbed myself a book from the shelf, sat on the floor, leaned my elbows on the lowered tables, and started to read its cover. It wasn't really a good book, I wonder, but the dim incandescent light above my head focused on it, as if I was getting a sign from heaven. Suddenly, it started to drizzle. The gentle drops of water on the roof started to sound like a music, like a soundtrack in a movie.

As I was getting ready to get to my feet to leave, a subtle smell stopped me. It was the sweet aroma from Katrina's kitchen, of her infamous brewed coffee, and also Joseph's crispy flaky pastry called, lemon pie. So I've decided to be seated for another hour or two. I have to stay longer for that small meal."

We would like to thank Ms. Ayla Liberato for taking the picture above She took time to take this wonderful and very tranquil photo of the Sagada Lemon Pie House. She surely captured our good friend's emotions and thoughts, the first time he stepped in our small friendly shop.

We would like to take advantage of this opportunity. We would like you to check and support a new Sagada blog called the Kanip-Aw Pines Lodge. It is owned by Oscar and Bogan Magwilang. A great place to stay in Sagada.

So far, we are very happy with the feedbacks on our Photo of the Day features. There are so many good pictures yet less time. We promise that we will take time to feature all of your photos in our blog. We really appreciate your comments and your emails to us. Please keep those messages and photos coming in, and we will see what we can do. You may send us your emails, stories, photos, and suggestions to lemonpiehouse@gmail.com or simply leave us your comment under this post.
